Best home theater projector reddit12/15/2023 So unfortunately you kind of have to decide what matters more to you - gaming or movies. If you're like me and Blu-Ray and UHD BR look about the same to you, then the 120Hz projectors will definitely make your gaming pop a lot more. JVC’s projector dynamically processes HDR on a frame-by. If you can and that matters to you, then the JVC is the pick - it's a WAAAY better overall projector than anything you're going to get that can support 120Hz. The only native 4K projector on our list, the DLA-NZ8 is a top choice for home theater perfectionists. I am not a "videophile" - unless someone tells me it's 4k or HDR I honestly can't tell you the difference from straight 1080p. I apologize - I know none of this is helping you. It looks like your JVC PJ's input lag is circa 40ms which is. I don't game anymore but when I did framerate and input lag mattered a whole lot more to me than pixel count, mostly because Sony and MS advertise their consoles can do better resolutions than developers can really figure out. This is a no win situation unfortunately. There are native 1080p projectors at that price point woth decent picture quality in dark rooms, like the Blitzwolf VP6 gor example is a popular chinese cheap projector. Most of the time its noise, some are very loud. Room colors: Walls, Ceiling, and floors - dark grey pro projector big image -> cinema feeling Projectors around 200 dollars always come with tradeoffs.Ambient light, through lighting or light leakage from windows? - no windows.Dedicated with a bar in opposite corner Room type: Dedicated, Mixed use, Living room.Usage: Movies, TV, Games, Sports, etc.How will you mount? (ceiling, rear shelf, table) - Ceiling.Seating distance to screen.- not sure, can still decide.Distance from back wall or preferred mounting position to screen wall. The next level up from that he said is the RS1100 I believe? But that is a big price jump. The place I am purchasing from suggested the JVC NZ3. So I am looking for the best all around projector that will also help me get the most out of my gaming consoles without completely breaking the bank. It's dark, the room has no windows but I would like to be able to have the lights on at least dimly to grab beers or whatever. I plan on watching sports with the boys and movies with the kids. So I've got a room ready to go for a home theatre but no idea who to ask about what projector to get so thought I'd ask here.
